Tambura band "Svita" exists since 1996, but we started to play several years earlier, as members of tambura orchestra of cultural art society "Petar Zrinski" from Vrbovec.
"Svita" boys, with tambura orchestra "Petar Zrinski" conducted by Maestro Zlatko Farszky won bronze, silver and five golden plaques "Pajo Kolaric's tambura" at the Festival of tambura music in Osijek, and the first prize at the second international festival "Il mondo in musica" in Italian city Fivizzano.
We also appeared at the international music festival in Budapest in 2004 and 2008.
Anent to 20th anniversary of the orchestra in 2004, we played with a special guest, Zvonko Bogdan.
Through the tambura band "Svita", till now, a few members passed by. In the beginning, Ivan Gazibara - Gazy played basprim II, and till 2002. Miroslav Vucinovec played prim and Tomislav Octenjak played bass. After that, Mario Sesvecan and Ivan Jakopec joined the band, and in October 2005. Ivan Fukat leaves the band.
Since April 2005 Tomislav Mlinaric - Foka ocasionaly plays the drums in the band.
In June 2007. Marko Vukovic leaves the band, and Miroslav Vucinovec is again in the band playing prim.
Since February 2008 Danijel Meseljevic and Marko Povrlisek plays basprim.
In January
2009 Miroslav Vucinovec and Mario Sesvecan leaves the band, and in the band are new members Bojan Vasiljevic and Kresimir Spanic.
We have gained a lot of experience playing all over Croatia on all kinds of tambura events and festivals like "Zagorje Music Festival" in Krapina, "Pjesme Podravine i Podravlja" in Pitomaca, "Zlatne zice Slavonije" in Pozega, "Tamburaska pajdasija" in Krizevci where we won first prize as the best band in 2007.
We have also participated in the project "100 tamburitza players" and we appeared in the concert hall "Vatroslav Lisinski" in Zagreb and on "Sibenik summer" in Sibenik in 2006 with them.
